You can accept the default options by pressing enter.

On first connection, you’ll be prompted to choose a username. After that, you can create posts, follow users, and explore the federated timeline.

On federated services like Mastodon people now can follow you, when searching for:

@YourUser@stegodon.zip

Boring Legal Stuff

Stegodon.zip is run by DotZip Ltd, a non-profit company that runs fediverse services for anyone to use.

We don’t yet have a Terms of Service or Code of Conduct, or a privacy policy or really anything like that yet, so err.. use at your own risk i guess.

To protect our sites from scrapers, and keep charges down, we use cloudflare quite heavily. This involves caching our images and, stopping bots.

As part of this, we have some security rules in place that challenges traffic based on the ASN, a list we've kept from all the previous scrapes.
