Last week, we announced Curse of the Allflame, our next major Content Update for Path of Exile 1. In this news post, we’re answering the most frequently asked questions from our community regarding the upcoming update. When does the Curse of the Allflame launch on all platforms? Curse of the Allflame will launch at 1PM July 24 PDT which is Jul 24, 2026 11:00 PM (GMT+3) in your local time on all supported platforms, including the standalone PC client, Steam and Epic Games Store clients as well as Xbox Series and PlayStation. Will there be an economy reset? Your existing characters will still be available and playable in Standard leagues. However, the new Curse of the Allflame league starts with a fresh economy, along with new content and features, so it’s strongly recommended to play there. If you choose to continue with an older character, keep in mind that balance changes may affect your build. You might need to respec your passive points, and some mechanics or interactions may no longer work the same way as before. How do I start playing in a new league? When creating a character, select the Curse of the Allflame banner. Is there a special in-game mechanic that is available only in the Curse of the Allflame league and not in the core game? Yes, the Curse of the Allflame league includes its own exclusive mechanics, content, rewards, and bosses that aren’t available in the core game. Once the league ends, we’ll evaluate these features and decide which ones, if any, will be added to the core game. Does the Crab Totem granted by the Crustacean’s Call work with Channelled Spells? No, it does not work with channelled spells. Where can I obtain Allflame items (such as Allflame Embers)? We have moved almost all Allflame items from Betrayal safehouses and Betrayal content. Instead they are obtained through the Curse of the Allflame league mechanic. With Unrelenting Timeless Emblems going away, how is Stasis Prison now obtained? Stasis Prison is now a very rare outcome from transforming Enshrouded Unique Body Armours in the Domain of Timeless Conflict, and hence always comes with a Vestigial Implicit Modifier. Which currency items from the Mirage league will or won’t be obtainable in Curse of the Allflame? The following items will be obtainable: Volatile Vaal Orb from Sanctum Crystallised Rancour from the Overgrown Grove Atlas Anomaly As a Luminary, if I hire a Mercenary with a Unique Item already equipped, can that Mercenary use the Unique Item? Temporarily hired Mercenaries can use any Unique Items that they have equipped on them. Permanently hired Mercenaries cannot use Unique Items unless they have the relevant Luminary passive skill allocated. Do I need to create a new character and start the game from the beginning? Yes, if you want to play the Curse of the Allflame League. However, you can continue playing your existing characters in Standard leagues if you wish. What happens to my stash tabs if I start in a new Curse of the Allflame league? Any stash tabs you have purchased will be available to use in the Curse of the Allflame leagues. Since a new league is a fresh economy, your stash in the new league will not contain any items from your stash in other leagues. All the items will be in Remove Only stash tabs in the Standard leagues. Will there be a predownload? Yes, we will make the torrent file for the standalone PC client available for predownloading the day before the launch. Console players will also be able to download the patch prior to launch.

3.28.0l Patch Notes Removed Forbidden Tattoos and Ancestral Silver Coins from the Currency Exchange. Return of the Ancestors specific Tattoos will only appear on the Currency Exchange in Standard leagues. This is the end of the Mirage League. Your characters and their progress will be migrated over the next few hours following the patch, or you can use the migration options in the character selection menu. Thanks for playing!
