@algernon What's good about that is that you can read the same story every day without getting bored. I've found that the 500th reading of Fox in Socks or Green Eggs and Ham, is a lot more fun when one doesn't remember the other 499 timesI've written several SMTP/POP3 servers and clients from scratch, because the best way to learn a new programming language imho is to write something that you already know how to writeMy trouble with IMAP, at the time, was that no regular client/server supported all the features in the RFC. Which makes it hard to test whether the server implementation was compatible with all the clients. It's where I really learned the robustness principle, be conservative in what you do, be liberal in what you accept from others
