Yes, The Netherlands tends to look really nice and well-designed, but remember that this has consequences: The Netherlands is basically a massive HOA imposed by local government. You can't just paint your house whatever colour you want, you can't just replace a garage door with a window/door combo, you can't just redesign your entire garden, whatever - almost everything needs local government and neighbour approval.This can be incredibly frustrating, but the end result does tend to speak for itself. However, if you can't deal with HOA bullshit in e.g. the US, The Netherlands is the last place you should move to. 😂

Jucika and the hiking trail markerSome interesting context for this one: in Hungary and many other countries in central Europe, it’s common for hiking trails to be well-marked using different colors/symbols on trees (according to what I’m reading). I believe red usually means a sharp turn. Also, I got two different translations for this one - either “hiking trail marker” or “tourist sign”. I chose the former. *Pulled this photo from a “hiking trail markers of Hungary” website. On first glance (pre-caffeine) it looks like there are a bunch of mansplainers doing math to defend Reflect Orbital in my mentions. FANTASTIC. (Editing to add that reading more carefully, I think most of it is actually well-intentioned discussion trying to understand how the hell RO thinks they have any kind of business case.
