Oh, it just clicked: LLM hype is what you get when you stack outsourcing hype on top of no code hype and tech silver bullet hype. So it's not one hype cycle, it's multiple hype cycles running in parallel, and it may not be clear which of them any given proponent is afflicted by.

@davidgerard Yes, and for another reason-- because *even if you cannot tell*, banning LLM crap and the people who promote it sends a valuable message that we -distrust- and are personally -repelled- by those who would trade their (and by extension, our own) humanity for convenience and kicks.Banning LLM ai from any space is an ETHICAL statement.

Does anyone else have songs from artists who perhaps never made it beyond a handful of fans? I have some songs I treasure, got the CDs from the musicians or friends over 10yrs ago, but they've dropped out of the radar and I can't find them anywhere. Just their voice haunting my speakers like a sweet ghost. There's also an mp3 I got off a yahoo group, around 2005. I like the song, but it has no artist name, no title, just a voice and a guitar, perhaps home recorded.#music
