much like the 'paradox of tolerance', the "do not speak ill of the dead" meme describes an edge case around a societal agreement - in this case, that people who die have families who care about them and oughtn't to be tarred with the same brush.except that, like the paradox of tolerance, when you look at these situations with a critical eye, you can see that the exhortation is being used to shut down legitimate criticism of someone who has dedicated significant time and effort towards breaking the societal rules that underlie that agreement.and as such, there is no paradox at all: if you break those rules, then the agreement founded on them does not apply.and I'm fucking glad that rat bastard graham is dead, and I'm looking forward to others of his cohort joining him.

I’m really serious about this one btw. Companies have no measurable way of knowing what employees are doing with GenAI. They’re giving Claude Code out like it’s candy and just presuming everybody is an IT power user. They aren’t. They’re converting PDFs and vibe coding garden planning tools. Copilot M365 has a fake dashboard showing how productive people are.. it has no actual data. It just shows people use it. It’s CIO porn for the CEO. Orgs are pissing money up a wall worldwide.
